We frequently comp meals for staff at both of our restaurants. When we apply a comp that brings the check balance to $0, Toast currently keeps automatic gratuity or service charges and other fees on the check. This requires management to take an extra manual step to remove those charges and fees before closing out the check.

We’d like a setting or feature in Toast that automatically removes gratuity/service charges when the check total is zeroed out by a comp or discount. This would streamline the workflow and reduce extra steps for our team.
