Yes, why is this feature taking so long? It's been almost 2 years marked as 'Planned'!

Why isn't this available? Such a basic and commonly requested item.

Server sections

Have server sections so you don’t have to assign each table to that server everyday.
Example: 3 server section(section a,b,c)
4 server section (a,b,c,d)
5 server section (a,b,c,d,e)

We have set floor charts based on days and number of servers on. We would like to be able to set the floor plan sections and assign servers rather than having to click each table each shift we have. We have a lunch 2,3,4,5 servers and a dinner 5,6,7 etc it would be nice to have those sections set but able to be edited and assigned as we see fit.

Have a place to be able to preset sections so you don’t have to manually put it in every time

Saved Section templates dependent upon the # of servers scheduled is a must - from making cuts to moving from 1 shift to another. A manager shouldn't have to assign each table every time there is a change. "In Progress" since march doesn't give me much hope.

I would like to add to this, or perhaps it needs its own "Feature Request" but it would be most beneficial for us if we could use preconfigured sections in this way: If we use the same sections day after day, It would be nice if for example we have 2 tables booked at 4:00pm in the same section it would automatically bump the next available time slot to 4:15 or 4:30 etc so that servers are not double, tripple sat all through service (its quite common for a servers section to be sat all 4 tables at 4:00pm, 6:00pm, 8:00pm for example rather than spreading them out. Just a thought.
